Spring is in sight. The depths of winter are losing their grasp with the warmer days. We had a gorgeous day this past Sunday. Warm sun was winning the battle against the snow. I was pottering about with opening the greenhouse and doing transplanting when I noticed that our garden was waking up.
I was so excited to see the bulbs coming up!
I did a bit of weeding but the ground is still very squishy so it was awkward crouching down to weed. Don’t want to compact the soil!
In this little plot we planted tulips, daffodils, and crocuses.
Won’t be long now before more of the garden will start stirring. Of course the rest of the snow needs to melt. 🙂
I feel the excitement 🙂
:).
We have snowdrops blooming in the lawn just outside the house – despite temperatures hitting -12C overnight and snow still in piles on shaded side of the street! Spring is coming!
They can be quite resilient! Thank goodness.
Wonderful to see, isn’t it? I saw the first glimmer of green here, too. I need to clear the flower beds now but everything is so wet. Hopefully tomorrow.
Given the rain we’re having now it will be wet for awhile!
I ended up quite excited yesterday as my chives are popping through on a window sill. Even though it’s freezing here right now. Still, I’m looking forward to making potato salad, soon.
I love seeing what new things are coming up. 🙂
Bitter here in Ireland. Still, bitter is a relative thing. Our daffodils came out a couple of weeks ago. Though, I have cold feet all day!
Very raw today with a lot of rain. But we’re getting there!
We found snowdrops under the snow when it melted Sunday.
It’s great to feel that spring is on the way at last.
YaY! mine are coming up too. I love Spring:)
Exciting isn’t it?! Spring is coming fast!
Yes! 🙂
We are almost there but snow is in the forecast. The nice thing is that it will melt quickly this time of the year.
Thank goodness. 🙂
